I was dead in my sin
The world’s ways are sin which is ruled by the devil
I was listening to the evil way and in disobedience to God.
I lived in the lust of my flesh
I indulged in desires of my flesh
I indulged in desires of my own thought processes
I was naturally a child of God’s wrath
All people are born into this way of life.
But God loved me and being abundantly merciful even when I was still dead in my sins He made me alive in Jesus.
By Grace of the Almighty I was saved.
I was raised up and seated with Jesus in heaven.
This was done to show in the ages to come the boundless riches of His grace in kindness toward me in Christ Jesus. (Earthly people will not understand-Heaven will when the time comes)
By God’s grace I have been saved
This saving is through faith
This faith and grace is NOT of myself, it is the gift of God
This saving through grace and faith is not a result of works, so that I cannot boast.
I am His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works
These good works God prepared beforehand so that I would walk in them- this too is a gift.
Ephesians 2:1-10
And you were dead in your offenses and sins, in which you previously walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all previously lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our wrongdoings, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the boundless riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
