Daniel 3:95
Blessed be the God
of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego,
who sent his angel to
deliver the servants that trusted in him;
they disobeyed the royal command
and yielded their bodies rather
than serve or worship any god
except their own God.
Blessed be God
Who sends Angels
To deliver us disciples
That trust in Him
That don’t go with the flow of culture
That would even disobey rulers
unto torture and even death
rather than bow to any idols in worship
The only one worthy of obedience and worship is THE ONLY GOD ALMIGHTY
Amen
In a world that is carried away by error, by false ideas, and corrupt customs, man is saved only by attaching himself to the gospel; only there can he find truth of doctrine and of life.
The condition that Christ requires of men in order to free them from the slavery of sin is faith in him; a faith that is born of attentive, persevering listening to his word, the only word which contains the absolute truth without any mixture of error or deceit. “I am the truth” (Jn 14: 6), our Lord said; it is he who brings truth to the world.
His word is the vehicle of truth offered to men, so that, enlightened by it, they may be freed from the temptation of falsehood. The falsehood of the devil had led the human race astray at its very beginning, and had made man the slave of sin; Christ’s truth shatters the old slavery and restores to man his freedom as a child of God. “The fruit of the tree tempted us; the Son of God redeemed us”
The Christian must have the courage to resist every kind of temptation, he must reject any theoretical or practical attitude which is not in keeping with the gospel, whether it openly contradicts it, or whether it alters it in some insidious way with interpretations that distort and minimize it. “Do not fear those who kill the body”—said the Lord—“ but cannot kill the soul” (Mt 10: 28).
