When he grew up, Moses,
guided by faith,
refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.
He chose to suffer with the people of God
rather than have the fleeting pleasures of sin.
To bear the stigma of Christ
was worth more to him
than all the treasures of Egypt.
With faith as his guide he left Egypt behind.
He fixed his gaze
on the reward God had promised.
