The Father gives himself to us,
and after creating us in his image and likeness,
sacrifices his only-begotten Son to redeem us;

the Son gives himself,
he became man and died on the cross for us,
and continues to give himself to us as food;

the Holy Spirit gives himself,
dwelling within our hearts,
and diffusing peace and love in us.

The Gospel shows us
the Father enveloping us in his paternal mercy and providence,
the Son taking us by the hand and teaching us to live as true children of God,
and the Holy Spirit renewing us and sanctifying us by causing us to be born into divine life.

“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all” (2 Cor 13:14).
