What does it mean to Believe in Jesus

What does believe in Jesus mean exactly

The work of God is to Believe in Jesus.

God has given Jesus authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as God has given Him.

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

People saw Christ and did not believe.

All that the Father gives Christ will come to Jesus.

Anyone who comes to Jesus will not be cast out.

Jesus does the will of the father, if the Father draws a person to Jesus, Jesus will not cast them out.

All people the Father gives Christ will lose NONE.

Everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day

No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him.

no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.

Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Christ.

He who believes in Me has everlasting life.

It does not say that it is from our hardness of heart: it says they are not drawn or granted access, or learned from the father to believe in Jesus.

The Spirit gives life not the flesh.

The Words of Christ are Spirit and Life.

Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him. And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.”

We have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?” He spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, for it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve.

What is Eternal life: to Know God (Trinity) unity of Spirit, Soul, and Body.

The demons believe Jesus is the Holy Son of God and know the Word (Spirit and Life)

Judas was called, chosen, given power, saw and heard the words of Christ (Spirit and Life)

It has to be more than believe; it has to be more than know scripture, it has to be more than have been given power…etc

Why do Demons and Judas not believe?

  1. Was not drawn by the father? Yet Jesus and the Father are One so Jesus (Father) called Judas.
  2. Was not granted to come to Jesus by the Father? Yet Jesus and the Father are One so Jesus (Father) called Judas.
  3. Hardened Spirit: wanted God to act on his own beliefs not willing to release beliefs to acclimate to God’s direction.
  4. God only saves the way He has chosen, you can resist him.
  5. Judas wanted worldly king? Trying to betray Jesus so He would make a move? (Wanting his own way instead of God) Stole money from God’s own pocket, went to the church to forgive instead of God? Maybe thought he did not deserve mercy even though Jesus did not cast Him out when he came to betray? Want what Christ can give, not Christ himself.
  6. Never Believed (John 6:64): Messiah, Creator, King of Kingdom, deserves unrivaled Love, Respect, Surrender, Trust, Obedience.
  7. The word: does not say that it is from our hardness of heart: it says they are not drawn or granted access, or learned from the father to believe n Jesus. Yet Jesus and the Father are One so Jesus (Father) called Judas.

So since Jesus and the Father are One; Jesus (Father) can call and give you blessings of the kingdom and you can still choose not to believe.

He gave everything-you must too. This is salvation.

If I continue to believe this: I will stay close and PRAY for perseverance. He will lose none!

If you do not want/have these things, you are probably not really saved.

God of the Universe

We are His Creatures He Created everything and everyone

Have I had a direct experience of God calling me to Him.

He is TRUTH, REALITY, EXISTENCE

Believe God called me to believe in Jesus

That the Father wants me to learn from Jesus

Called to be sons and daughters.

He wants Union in our Spirit, Soul, and Body. (To know God)

Wants to be closer than original plan in Eden…now internal walk, live inside.

He deserves our undivided loyalty, love, respect, surrender, trust, and obedience. He should take the rightful place as our KING, CREATOR, GOD, life director, our human development, our soul development.

We are broken and do not see clearly, we cannot make our decisions correctly without His guidance. Only He knows what is right and just and what our every move should be.

We are dependent beings not self directed.

We must give ourselves up (give our life to Christ) for Him to direct. No longer I who live.

When we fall, never give up on Mercy and Grace.

Want God for himself not for benefits you might get.

He is love, He is a perfect God, His ways are perfect, He has a perfect plan for each, He gives the strength to do his call, suffering shaves off our distortions-it is good for us.

Suffering is part of the plan, he has chosen this way of the cross to cleanse our broken places (pride, envy, lust, gluttony, greed, wrath, sloth)

Virtue fights vice (humility, love, chastity, self control, generosity, patience, discipline)

If I want to call the shots in my life, I have fallen away from grace.

What I want, think, or feel, does not matter…only believing truth and responding by doing the will of God…he is taking care of me!

John 6:28-29

Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”

Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

John 17:2-3

as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

John 6:36-40

But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe. All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

John 6:44-47

No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me. Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.

John 6:63-71

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him. And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.”

From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?”

But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?” He spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, for it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve.
