Follow the pattern of the sound words which you have heard from me, in the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus; (2 Timothy 1:13, RSV2CE)

You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus, (2 Timothy 2:1, RSV2CE)

Everything is in Jesus…The Faith is in Jesus, The Love is in Jesus, The Grace is in Jesus.

I am to deposit myself in Christ Jesus, where all that I need to live a sanctified life is…Grace, Faith, and Love. Help me My Lord, take refuge in you so I can be who you made me to be. Amen.

holding the form of religion but denying the power of it. Avoid such people. (2 Timothy 3:5, RSV2CE)

As Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of corrupt mind and counterfeit faith; (2 Timothy 3:8, RSV2CE)

while evil men and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceivers and deceived. (2 Timothy 3:13, RSV2CE)

3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own likings, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander into myths. (2 Timothy 4:3–4, RSV2CE)

There are people who are going to church and thinking they belong to God but actually oppose truth. The truth they oppose is instead of transformation, they say it is a forensic exchange. They have corrupt minds and a counterfeit faith. They talk about and know about Jesus but they do not allow Jesus to transform their hearts into His likeness. They are deceived and deceiving others to the detriment of souls. They will get worse because they are not being transformed so their hearts are darkened. They want to hear what they want so they follow teachers that preach the same. They refuse and reject truth.

My God, please forgive my arrogance and sin for following those who do not actually know you. They skillfully use the Bible to prove points but do not allow heart change. You have to be IN CHRIST and be TRANSFORMED into His likeness, not a forensic exchange but a Heart exchange. I must live in with and through Jesus all moments of the day submitting to Grace in Faith and Love which is action by choice not feeling. Help me my God hear You and follow you and your church that has all truth, not any man. Amen.

Alexander the coppersmith did me great harm; the Lord will pay him back for his deeds. (2 Timothy 4:14, RSV2CE)

When someone does me harm, I am to hand them over to God. The Lord pays back, I do not.

Father, forgive me for getting angry and taking things into my own hands. Help me surrender to you and know you see all and will vindicate all. Amen.

The Lord will rescue me from every evil and save me for his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory for ever and ever. Amen. (2 Timothy 4:18, RSV2CE)

The Lord Jesus will rescue me from all evil. The Lord Jesus will save me for His heavenly Kingdom. Glory to you forever and ever my God!! Thank you thank you thank you. Amen!!

25 with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may give them repentance leading to the full knowledge of the truth,

26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will. (2 Timothy 2:25–26, LSB)

REFLECT

In gentleness correct those who are sinning against God, He may give them the gift of repentance. If they repent they can have full knowledge of the truth, seeing they have been ensnared of the devil to do his will, being captivated in their mind by evil thoughts. They may see they need liberation and forgiveness.

PRAY

Help me Jesus, I see that I myself have been captured by the devil in my thoughts and used. Please God, help me repent and not sin against you. Help me escape the devil’s schemes in my life. Liberate my mind heart and soul! I need you! Save me.

READ

Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. (2 Timothy 2:22, LSB)

REFLECT

Turn to God and from sin! Flee with all your might any sin. Pursue with your whole heart being in right relationship with God, faith in Him, Love of God and man for God’s sake, and peace in the midst of this wicked and painful existence!

PRAY

God, help me forsake my sin. Help me flee to you for refuge. Only you are my safe place. Help me give my sin to you for healing. Help me pursue living in your presence. Help me love. Help me have peace knowing you will bring me through this painful place to heaven when my time comes by Faith in you and your promises.

READ

Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to depart from wickedness.” (2 Timothy 2:19, LSB)

REFLECT

God knows who are His no matter what anyone thinks. If someone belongs to God, and names Him as their God, they MUST depart from wickedness (Let Him kill it from their life).

PRAY

Just because someone professes the beliefs about Christianity does not mean they are living in Christ. Those who live in Him MUST kill their flesh, crucifying their ego and walking as Jesus did. It is a moment by moment battle all the way home. Not a one and done. Help me Jesus my King, kill my ego self and live in with and through you! Amen.

11 It is a trustworthy saying:

For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him;

12 If we endure, we will also reign with Him;

If we will deny Him, He also will deny us;

13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.  (2 Timothy 2:11–13, LSB)

REFLECT

If I die with him, let Him crucify my ego self, I will live with him, stay in His presence all day everyday.

If I endure, make it all the way to heaven, I will reign with him in heaven (I am in him so his reward is mine)

If I deny Christ (Reject Him as God, in thought, word, or deed) He will deny me.

If I am faithless (doubting) He remains faithful to those living in Him even though doubtful because He cannot deny himself (one that is in Him)

PRAY

Jesus, help me let go of self and be filled with you. Help me persevere every single moment of everyday. Please my King, do not let me deny you. Open my heart and eyes. When I am doubting remind me that is fear of the Lord and to stay vigilant in will to be yours. Only you save. Amen.

8 Therefore do not be ashamed of either the witness about our Lord or me His prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of God,

9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus from all eternity, (2 Timothy 1:8–9, LSB)

Join in the suffering for the gospel by the power of God. His purpose is to save me and live in Grace of holiness from Jesus who chose us from eternity to eternity.

For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day. Guard, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, the treasure which has been entrusted to you. (2 Timothy 1:12, 14, LSB)

I am willing to suffer because I know what is coming. Jesus is able to guard my soul which I have entrusted to Him. By the Holy Spirit inside me He will guard the new life entrusted to me.

3 Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

4 No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier. (2 Timothy 2:3–4, LSB)

Be willing to suffer hardship as a soldier. No soldier entangles himself with everyday life. He does the mission. He focuses on the mission. I have been enlisted to share the kingdom of God and offer the message of the salvation of souls. That is my focus here, not the world and all its trappings. I will suffer because people don’t understand and think I’m crazy. So be it. Christ is with and in me, He will empower me to suffer for Him, if I accept the mission.

If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself. (2 Timothy 2:13, LSB)

Doubt or fear of not being saved **is not equivalent to denial or apostasy.** Biblical faith involves trust amid trials. Unlike outright rejection, doubt can be a prompt to deeper reliance on grace. God's faithfulness means He **does not abandon the baptized who seek Him,** offering mercy through sacraments like Penance, even for "faithlessness" short of mortal sin.

2 Timothy 2:13 comforts the fearful baptized soul: God's unchangeable faithfulness invites you to **endure in hope,** not despair. He cannot deny His merciful self, but calls you to cling to Him through grace.

**God's faithfulness, underscores His unchanging nature and commitment to His promises, even amid human weakness or doubt.** This does not guarantee automatic salvation regardless of one's response to grace, but it offers profound assurance for the baptized who struggle with fear or uncertainty, calling them to trust in Christ's mercy while persevering in faith.

**Yes, God's fidelity assures He will not "deny" you arbitrarily—He remains true to His covenant love, especially for the baptized struggling with doubt.** As Pope Francis proclaims, Jesus **"always waits for us to forgive us."** Yet this fidelity empowers response: Confess doubts, receive the Eucharist and Reconciliation, and unite fears to Christ's Passion.

It’s not what did I do for God? It’s what God has already done for me. And how will I respond?

God has paid the sin debt of the world, we do not have to be separated from him anymore. He has made a way for communion with him and power to live a new sanctified life. Anyone who wants to walk through life with him, and wants to follow his commands because they are what leads to life, can come and be covered by the blood, live in communion with him, walking in the garden of life by his own power until I get home.

Will, I respond with a whole hearted. Yes, surrendering to his plan, knowing that he knows the best for me in gratitude and love? I was made to walk in communion with him. He has made a way for this to happen even after sin do I want it?
