Live 4 The LORD

The leaders of the church are servants of Christ. 

The leaders of the church are stewards of the mysteries of God. 

It is Required of stewards they be found trustworthy. 

1 Corinthians 4:1-2

This is the way any person is to regard us: as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. In this case, moreover, it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy.

Do NOT associate with or even eat with

so called Christians that Are

Sexually Immoral 

Greedy

Idolator

Verbally Abusive

Drunkard

Swindler

We ARE to JUDGE our brothers and Sisters

God judges outsiders

We are to REMOVE evil from among us. 

The church is weak because we will not confront. 

If we don’t confront they could go to hell. 

It is a grace to confront!

1 Corinthians 5:11-13

But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is a sexually immoral person, or a greedy person, or an idolater, or is verbally abusive, or habitually drunk, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a person. For what business of mine is it to judge outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? But those who are outside, God judges. REMOVE THE EVIL PERSON FROM AMONG YOURSELVES.

Do NOT be DECEIVED 

Unrighteousness will NOT inherit the Kingdom. 

These will Not Inherit:

Sexually Immoral 

Idolator

Adulterer

Homosexual 

Thieves

Greedy

Drunkards

Verbal abusers

Swindlers

1 Corinthians 6:9-10

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 

Join yourself to the Lord!

Be one in Spirit with Him!

1 Corinthians 6:17

But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

Your body is a Temple

The Holy Spirit Lives inside you

You are not your own. 

Jesus has paid for your life

Glorify God in your body. 

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought for a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

You are not to be enslaved by people

Do not serve man-serve God

There is a never ending-not being able to please people. 

Be one with God, he bought you new life. 

1 Corinthians 7:23

You were bought for a price; do not become slaves of people.

All this time I thought that if I was serving man that I was serving Christ. 

To me this statement means I should not try to serve man, I should only serve Christ. 

Which is very freeing to me because every time I happen to try to serve man I do become enslaved by him trying to always please. 

However of course that only leads to depression and frustration because there is never pleasing people. It becomes this awful vicious cycle. 

Thank you Jesus for freeing me this morning. Amen

I want to concern myself with things of the Lord

I want to be holy in Body and Spirit

Even though I am married. 

1 Corinthians 7:34

and his interests are divided. The woman who is unmarried, and the virgin, is concerned about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and spirit; but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
