Saying You Want something is NO GUARANTEE you get it. Anything worth having takes work/deeds.
If I REALLY want to loose weight
1. I decide
2. I eat certain calories a day
3. I exercise
4. I monitor my food portions (have a specific plan)
5. I log and count progress to continue on course so I don’t swerve
6. I don’t tempt myself by asking what I want to eat I choose to eat my plan
7. I don’t go to certain places that could harm my progress.
8. Doing the work proves I really want it. (Not lip service)
There are things I do. I don’t expect the weight to just fall off because I want it.
If I REALLY want to be saved and be His saint
1. I realize God is calling me
2. I decide to respond to his call to follow
3. I listen to his voice in word, church, and Holy Spirit
4. I obey Him in thought, word, and deed.
5. I choose to believe He knows why His ways are the best for my humanity instead of wanting my evil ways. (Fornication, lying, anger, etc)
6. Plead for mercy and grace to empower me every moment) and repent when I fall.
7. I choose to let go of certain people, places, things, or even thoughts that could impede my progress.
8. I have a spiritual plan to help me grow toward God
9. I stay out of worldly thinking by renewing my mind.
10. I guard myself from some that could hurt my progress
11. Doing the work proves our love and that we really want to be His. (Not lip service)
I don’t just expect because he wants it and I want it, it’s just given. He has chosen for us to cooperate and do what it takes to follow.
How do I know God REALLY wants me
1. He decided
2. He gave me conscience with his ways imprinted
3. He gave me the Word
4. He gave me the Church
5. He gave me Jesus Christ Crucified
6. He gave me the calling by the Holy Spirit
7. He gave me grace to believe
Doing the work proves His love and that he really want us to be His. (Not lip service). I have to decide back if I really want to be His.
