POWER in the Holy Spirit

God gives true Christians power to walk by the Spirit of Holiness and freedom from sin!

1 Corinthians 4:20 (NKJV): 20 For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.

Acts 1:8 (NKJV): But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you;

1 Thessalonians 1:5 (NKJV): 5 For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.

2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV): For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV): 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

Ephesians 3:16 (NKJV): 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,

Note:

Beware of those so called Christians that do not have power over their sin…they may be in lip service only. The Holy Soirit gives power to walk in newness of life. They may have a firm of Godliness but they are really using a license to sin and trapped in the power of the Devil. Turn away from these people!!

2 Timothy 3:1–5 (NKJV):

3 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
