And he looked around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, and said to the man, “Stretch out your hand•.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored. (Mark 3:5, RSV2CE)
Am I hard of heart because I don’t want anyone pulling on me for more sympathy? I’m just barely standing as it is. Their weakness threatens to suffocate me. I’d it because I am not connected to the vine?
If I allow God’s Grace and Mercy to flow through me it will be more than enough for me and to give to others.
I get angry when people need my attention because they are needing attention. Shouldn’t they go to Jesus not man (me). Aren’t we taught that going to man will make you want more from man. Going to Jesus gets you filled up. Am I contributing by my hardness to guide them to Jesus not man (me). Or is that an excuse? Man is here to be Jesus to others. We are to serve our brothers.
