READ

And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick; I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Mark 2:17, RSV2CE)

REFLECT

Thank you Jesus for coming for the sick and sinners. I admit I am sick and a sinner. I need your healing. I need you! You came to call me. If I was righteous I would not need you. So I will have issues until I get home to you. So I will not fear being a sinner in need of grace. You are working out my sin little by little. Grace upon grace.

PRAY

Thank you Lord for loving sinners. Thank you for being willing to walk with us as you orchestrate our healing little by little. Help me not get frustrated with the slow process. And help me not judge others where they are in their process. We are all coming from different starting points and grow at different rates. Forgive me when I have been judgmental and prideful, my arrogance sickens me.

REST

Jesus, have mercy on us all! We are all in need of healing. We are all sinners. You came to save us all. Help us love each other and foster surrender to grace not judgement for not being there yet. We can rest in your love knowing you are bringing us through! You will not be thwarted. Save Us All!! Amen.
