Live 4 The LORD

​READ

You also must be ready; for the Son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”  (Luke 12:40, RSV2CE)

45 But if that servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed in coming,’ and begins to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink and get drunk, 46 the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, and will punish him, and put him with the unfaithful. 

47  And that servant who knew his master’s will, but did not make ready or act according to his will, shall receive a severe beating (Luke 12:45–47, RSV2CE)

I tell you, No; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”  (Luke 13:5, RSV2CE)

REFLECT

I must always be ready. I must always be faithful. Jesus could come for me at any time. I am not promised a day. I could at any moment lose my faculties to keep choosing salvation or die. Both my parents died young. I know life is short. I have almost died twice in my life that I know of, how many times was I spared and I didn’t know. 

If I start to let up on my vigilance and start to be unfaithful to grace, Jesus may come for me and I will be punished by being put with the unfaithful - hell.  

I must keep in my thoughts His will. Ask for the Grace to be faithful to his will or I will be severely punished. 

God loves me so much he does not want me to be lost forever. I must live repentance all day everyday. I must be willing to forsake my sinful tendencies and to be carried by grace. If I do not repent I will go to hell, there is no where else to go. There are only two choices. 

RESOLUTION

I know many people who say they are saved and do not do the will of God. I must believe God. He tells the truth. He says if I am not repentant I will go to hell. I resolutely plead for mercy to keep me in grace. I know it is not in me myself. It is a gift. Holy Father, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit, help me repent and live it daily. 

REST

Thank you  my God for coming and telling me the truth. I can rest in your love and truth. I will believe You above all men. You Do Not Lie. You want all to come to truth. Help me be carried by your grace so I can be with you forever. Amen.
