God’s love is often understood as both universal and unconditional, extending to all people, regardless of their actions, background, or status. The Bible teaches that God loves everyone and desires all people to come to Him (e.g., John 3:16 — “For God so loved the world…”). In this sense, God’s love is not based on favoritism or partiality, and there’s a strong emphasis that He shows no favoritism (Romans 2:11).

God does not arbitrarily choose who to save and who to condemn.

God desires the salvation of all and provides freely the grace necessary for that salvation. Christ's sacrifice was made for everyone, and God's grace is offered universally.

However, individuals must freely choose to respond, to accept or reject that grace that leads to salvation.

There is a balance between God's sovereignty and human responsibility, emphasizing that while God has a divine plan, human cooperation is essential in the journey toward salvation.

Individuals are lost through their own fault due to the rejection of God's grace through their own choices. God has a plan for each person’s salvation, human cooperation with grace is essential. Any separation from God is a result of human sinfulness and refusal to accept His mercy. Those who, through their actions and choices, align themselves against God's will, leading to their ultimate judgment, choose to be lost.

Dual aspects of God's nature—His justice in punishing sin and His mercy in saving those who respond to His grace.

The existence of "vessels of wrath" is not merely a testament to God's judgment but also a reflection of His overarching plan for salvation, where His mercy ultimately triumphs over judgment for those who accept it.

The Bible speaks of God’s love as both unconditional and universal, it also acknowledges that those who draw near to Him, live according to His will, or have a special calling may experience a closer relationship or deeper intimacy with Him. However, this is usually framed within the context of purpose or spiritual growth rather than a hierarchy of love. God’s love for all people remains constant, regardless of differences in their individual relationships with Him.
