Jesus came to Paul (we must be listening for God)
Paul commanded to not fear (Paul does not have to worry, he is free, God has things in his hand)
God graciously granted all the people (people who Paul didn’t even know but God cares about all souls)
Paul believed God and all he said exactly as he said (God does not lie and what He says He does)
Acts 27:23-25
For this very night an angel of the God to whom I belong, whom I also serve, came to me, saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar; and behold, God has graciously granted you all those who are sailing with you.’ Therefore, keep up your courage, men, for I believe God that it will turn out exactly as I have been told.
Unless they obey they will die (obedience is how to live the life)
Acts 27:31
Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, “Unless these men remain on the ship, you yourselves cannot be saved.”
Eucharist like meal for all
Acts 27:34-36
Therefore, I encourage you to take some food, for this is for your survival, for not a hair from the head of any of you will perish.” Having said this, he took bread and gave thanks to God in the presence of them all, and he broke it and began to eat. All of them were encouraged and they themselves also took food.
Testify about the Kingdom of God (God has a kingdom and it is now here, do you want to belong to his kingdom or the devil and evil)
Persuade concerning Jesus from OT (we have a savior spoken of from the foundation of the earth, believe)
Some would not believe (you can choose)
Hearts are insensitive (we are responsible for tilling our heart-God has made us free beings in which we choose what to think and do-no excuses will do)
They closed their eyes and ears (we choose)
If they stopped resisting they would understand and be healed (grace is there at all times to stop resisting and turn back)
God goes to gentiles (because of His people’s rejection all people are invited)
Preach the Kingdom and Teach the Lord Jesus (the new life is living in God’s kingdom in with and through the Lordship of Jesus His Christ)
Acts 28:23-31
When they had set a day for Paul, people came to him at his lodging in large numbers; and he was explaining to them by solemnly testifying about the kingdom of God and trying to persuade them concerning Jesus, from both the Law of Moses and from the Prophets, from morning until evening. Some were being persuaded by the things said by Paul, but others would not believe. And when they disagreed with one another, they began leaving after Paul said one parting statement: “The Holy Spirit rightly spoke through Isaiah the prophet to your fathers, saying,
‘GO TO THIS PEOPLE AND SAY,
“YOU WILL KEEP ON HEARING, AND WILL NOT UNDERSTAND;
AND YOU WILL KEEP ON SEEING, AND WILL NOT PERCEIVE;
FOR THE HEARTS OF THIS PEOPLE HAVE BECOME INSENSITIVE,
AND WITH THEIR EARS THEY HARDLY HEAR,
AND THEY HAVE CLOSED THEIR EYES;
OTHERWISE THEY MIGHT SEE WITH THEIR EYES,
AND HEAR WITH THEIR EARS,
AND UNDERSTAND WITH THEIR HEART AND RETURN,
AND I WOULD HEAL THEM.”’
Therefore, let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will also listen.”
Now Paul stayed two full years in his own rented lodging and welcomed all who came to him, preaching the kingdom of God and teaching things about the Lord Jesus Christ with all openness, unhindered.
