5 What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. 7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. (1 Corinthians 3:5–7, RSV2CE)
For no other foundation can any one lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:11, RSV2CE)
REFLECT
Stop following men through who you believe. The men are the servants, God is the one giving growth. If you look to men you have stopped looking to God. The foundation is Jesus the Christ, keep looking at him!
PRAY
God, it is true I keep looking to men to follow. Men who tell the truth, but men nonetheless. This is why my heart is cloudy…you will not give your glory to another, you want me to look to you so I am not led astray by the devils crafty ways. All men error. Please my God, help me keep my eyes and love on YOU. Only you can teach me truth in the depths of my soul.
