READ
8 For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life. 9 Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead, 10 who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us, (2 Corinthians 1:8–10, NKJV)
REFLECT
Do not be ignorant. Trouble and burdens may come that are beyond your strength, that you may even feel like dying. This is so you may cling to God who raises the dead and delivers us when we trust in Him! Do not trust in yourself-Trust God!
PRAY
I cannot be surprised when trials come to me that push me to despair. I must remember that God is a deliverer and if I am beyond my strength I am to put all my hope and trust in Him. He is able to deliver! If I could handle everything I would not need God and that would be horrendous for my soul! So trials are good to remind me that God is my everything. Hold on tight when in trial and watch Him work, Trust Him!
