Live 4 The LORD

Romans 7

I was put to death from the law 

I was raised into Christ

The law is holy righteous and good

My flesh wants evil

My mind wants the righteous 

The law has no power in my flesh

To try and live by law kills

Romans 8

In Christ I have the Spirit

The Spirit is the power to do right

If I put my mind on the Spirit (power) and not the flesh (no power) I will do right not evil

The mind of the flesh is hostile to God and cannot please Him

You will only have power if you have the Spirit of God who raised Jesus dwelling in you and belong to Christ

By the Spirit put to death the deeds of the body

If you are led by the Spirit, you are a child of God

Fellow heirs with Christ if we suffer with Him, then we can be glorified with Him

Hope for redemption of the body and salvation by perseveringly waiting eagerly for it. 

The Spirit needs to be in charge, He prays for us according to Gods will

We are to be conformed to Christ

We can overwhelmingly conquer through Christ and His Spirit who LOVES us

The LOVE of God is in Christ Jesus - our LORD

SUMMARY:

Know God loves you and wants to give you power to live a new life

TO GET NEW LIFE:

Accept Christ as Lord (know you need grace, repent)

Receive gift of the Spirit (be baptized)

YOU MUST CHOOSE:

MIND:

Keep mind on the Spirit not fleshly desires

SUFFER:

Suffer with Christ to be glorified with Him (killing your fleshly desires)

HOPE:

Hope for redemption and salvation in waiting

OBEDIENCE:

Let the Spirit conform you to Christ (obedience to Him through the power of the Spirit)

Conquer your flesh with His Spirit

If you are led by His Spirit you are truly His child (you must cooperate by allowing Him to have His way in your life)
