Live 4 The LORD

The covenant is a sacred agreement between God and yourself, characterized by mutual commitments and promises.

GODS PART: The covenant is established by God, who reveals Himself and His intentions to you. This divine revelation invites a response of relationship by faith. This faith is a belief in God's Truth, His Promises, and Total Trust in His Goodness and Fidelity. It is an understanding of His Lordship and Authority over you, accepting God's self-revelation through His deeds and words.

 

MY PART: My part is a personal adherence of my whole person to God, involving both intellect and will. I recognize God as a constant and unchangeable being, worthy of Trust and Love. The faithful response to God's covenant is Believing in His existence, Trusting in His plans and promises for you, and for the grace that will help you obey His will for you. I have committed to the covenant and know that even suffering has its purpose to cleanse me, try my faith, and bring glory to Him. I am to Rely on God’s faithfulness and commit to living according to and in adherence to God’s Will and Commands. Only MY SIN is my ENEMY, this is what separates me from the covenant, grace, and weakens my will.

  

JESUS TAKE OVER MY LIFE AND WILL

I am powerless to do good without your grace Jesus. I cannot manage my life, my flesh wants the wrong things. I need you to tell me what is best for me. I ask you to take control of my life. I turn my will and my life over to your care.

INVENTORY: 

Sin is an offense against God, a turning away from His commandments, and a rupture of communion with Him. Sin is a refusal to acknowledge God’s Authority and Lordship. It is refusal to obey His law that frees and saves, leading to a disordered love for created things over the Creator. Sin separates me from God's grace which I need to live in the covenant. Without repentance and amendment, one remains in a state of sin, further distancing themselves from the covenant established by God.

REPENTANCE and AMENDMENT:

Being in covenant with God, involves a sincere sorrow for sins and a firm purpose of amendment. I must recognize my sins, take responsibility, and seek God's mercy through repentance and amendment of my life. If a person lacks the desire to amend their life and continues in sin, they become incapable of receiving forgiveness, even if they repent. Amendment is crucial emphasizing the necessity of true contrition and the intention to change, reaffirming their commitment to live according to His will and commandments.

   

PRAYER: I ask you Jesus to please forgive all my sin, I repent of not seeing or believing in your good guidance. Please remove my defects of character, cleanse my sins, help me amend my life. Help me also apologize and make amends to all those I have hurt.

STAY IN COVENANT RELATIONSHIP PRAYER:

I pray to stay in covenant relationship with you all day tomorrow. Help me to know your will for me and to carry it out in your power and grace. My Sin is my enemy, that is what separates me from the covenant and weakens my will. Help me see and deal with it immediately.  

Holy Spirt Help me See truth of my part and how to behave in your power, wisdom, and grace. When I fail, please Father give me the grace to Repent, Amend, Commit to live according to YOUR Will and Commands. TURN FROM SIN – IT IS THE ENEMY.
