Romans 9
Paul is deeply grieved for his countrymen and wants them to be saved
If paul is grieved how much more God the father of his people
The word of God has not failed. It is not blood relatives that are saved.
The saved are saved through the promises, (faith) according to God‘s purpose and choice (he gives faith)
There is no injustice with God he will have mercy on whomever he has mercy and he will show compassion on whoever he chooses to have compassion. It doesn’t depend on the person who wants it, but on God who has mercy. (God chooses who to have mercy and compassion)
He has mercy on whom he desires, and he hardens whom he desires
God is the potter and has the right over the clay to make one for common to make known his power to endure with great patience, objects of wrath prepared for destruction, which is done to make known the riches of his glory upon the objects of mercy he has chosen some among the Jews and some among gentiles
Though the number of Israel may be like the sand only a remnant will be saved Israel pursued righteousness through the law, but it is to be pursued by faith. Righteousness is not done by works they stumble over Christ, the righteous one who gives the gift through faith.
