Live 4 The LORD

7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. (1 John 4:7–11, NKJV)

REFLECT

Love everyone including enemies. Love is to will the good for someone, especially salvation. Which means truth must be spoken in grace, to correct if need be, which is called tough love. Love does not mean to accept all someone does and wants that are harmful for the soul. True love may be confrontational at times. 

Love is from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. God pours into hearts true love (not worldly love: selfish and non confrontational)

A person who does not love is not from God and doesn’t know God. They think they love because they let others do what they want even if it destroys them because they really love themself and do not want to go out on a limb to correct. It’s self protection not true love for another. Or they don’t know God because they are rejecting His love and commands. His commands are love because they will build us up to what we were made for. 

God has manifested his love toward me. He sent Jesus. I am to live through Jesus, this is how I become what I was made for. 

This is true love, God loved me so much He gave Jesus as the propitiation for all my sins. All my sins are washed under the blood sacrifice of Christ my Lord and King. 

God loves me so much He does not want to lose me, all my sins are washed away and I am to live through Jesus. 

If I am so loved, I should now be able to love others since I am living through Jesus who died for all!

RESOLUTION 

I must accept the love of God. I must accept the washing of my sin. I must love others by telling the truth to them so they can be saved. I must live through Jesus by being willing to listen and obey His commands that are for my good and flourishing of soul. 

REST

God loves me. He came to save and rescue me from eternal death. I can rest in His care after all He has done for me and love others by telling them of this rescuing love. Thank you my God for your love. Thank you for your commands that give life. Thank you for the mission to make others know this love. Thank you Jesus for washing my sins away and helping me live through you. Help me!
