The Reality of the Gospel Choice
I was made to be good but born broken with evil desires. The sin principle affects my entire being and saturates the world. The evil one also prowls trying to destroy me.
Because I am so broken and do not want to be considered evil I deny my desires as evil and say they are normal and good. I excuse myself and shun God’s direction and design trying to be my own God, saying what is right and wrong.
Jesus came to tell me, those desires are evil, but there is a solution! He has not left me here without help! By His own grace and power He can help me live fighting the evil desires and learn to do good as I was originally made for. I was made to walk in communion with Him doing good.
The decision is mine. I can agree and be set free or I can deny and live in destruction. One leads to eternal life the other leads to eternal separation in hell.
If I agree, I can be baptized into his death (kill my evil desires), receive the divine life of the Holy Spirit (direction and power to fight daily), and be cleansed (by the only blood sacrifice that washes sin away) as I walk in Jesus (must follow His commands). After physical death I will be raised again for eternal life with God the Trinity Forever!
If I say no, I want to do what I want to do, I do not care what God calls sin, I think it’s normal and good, I will destroy who I was actually made to be. I will live forever separated from God my only real help, happiness, and the only person who loves me and made me for himself.
God does not coerce, bully, or manipulate. He has made Himself clear in the world the way it was made, in my conscience, in the church, in the people who follow, etc. testimony is everywhere. He has given me the choice and will not take that away from me. He has made me a free rational being to make decisions. I am to decide.
He comes to me with grace to agree with Him, and turn to Him, but it is up to me to keep deciding daily at every second to continue to follow or do my own will which leads to harm and possible destruction and eventually eternal consequences of hell (separation from Him forever).
God loves me but will not make me love Him and His ways. I must choose my own destiny.
People do not go to hell because He sends them, people go to hell because they refuse to choose grace and love and instead want sin and destruction to be said as good. People go to hell for refusing to let God be God and instead want to be God themselves.
I agree with you, too many people try to play God. Not enough worshipping him.
