The Mass is to be continued until the end of time, a daily anamnesis or representation of what was done at the Last Supper and on Calvary: not a mere “calling to mind” of an event which once took place long ago in the past and is long since over, but a sharing in that same event, for the Mass is one and the same sacrifice as that of the Cross. Time is “now” in God.
