32 Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this:
“As a sheep led to the slaughter
or a lamb before its shearer is silent,
so he opens not his mouth.
33 In his humiliation justice was denied him.
Who can describe his generation?
For his life is taken up from the earth.” (Acts 8:32–33, RSV2CE)
REFLECT
Jesus accepted from the Father His plan. The plan included for Jesus to be humiliated and denied justice. This may be a road for me at times too. I may be humiliated. I may be denied justice. In honor of and by the power of God I must submit myself to His plan and accept whatever He sends me. In His grace I will be able to handle it if I do it knowing it is His plan. I must embrace my crosses He sends me. They heal my soul of the world and give him glory!
PRAY
Oh my Lord, it is painful to think of humiliation and being denied justice even for tiny stupid things. Apparently my soul is tender and full of myself still. Please help me when I come across the cross you choose for me, to do it with a good attitude, knowing you are healing my soul. Getting it ready for heaven by breaking off the self love. If I see everything as coming from you and not an attack from others it helps. Help me remember at all times the goal is my SOUL health not my worldly fleshy self! Heal me Jesus.
