4 And he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” 5 And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting; (Acts 9:4–5, RSV2CE)
REFLECT
Saul is persecuting Christians. Jesus says Paul is persecuting Jesus himself. If you persecute any Christian you are persecuting Jesus Himself.
PRAY
Wow, my God, everyone I say or think bad about someone that is yours (in you) I am persecuting my own Lord God and Savior. Wouldn’t that be some kind of blasphemy? Please FORGIVE me my God! And since we are all sinners and we cannot judge any hearts and have no idea who is yours or not in their soul we ought not to say a word about or persecute ANYONE! Open my eyes God to see all people as yours or at minimum called to be yours and not be a rock of offense. Wash me clean of this atrocity! Forgive me please. Amen!!
