True Godly Repentance

  1. To acknowledge I need his HEART to see my sin as a breaking of his heart and law. (If I am afraid to see my sin, sin breaks his creation of me and others)
  2. To acknowledge I broke God’s heart by breaking His perfect law for my soul. (He loves those who love Him, I’m sorry for breaking your HEART, Lord)
  3. To acknowledge I am weak and can’t keep his perfect law for my soul in my own strength. (Have mercy on me-God you came to save sinners)
  4. To acknowledge my dependence upon His power to do his will for my soul. (Ask for the Holy Spirit to full me and empower me to do right)
  5. Thank Him! (Thank you for offering me a way of escaping this sin that is always trying to kill my soul)
