Love God with everything you are and have
And
Love your neighbor as yourself.
This is the New Testament Law of Love that depends on all the law and the prophets of the Old Testament.
love for one’s neighbor
is seen in relation to God
as respect for his law
and as a reflection of his love for men.
(Not as seen as what a human would want-distorted love-but salvation and life with God as the ultimate fulfillment)
Let me love my neighbor in such a way that I am loving only you in him; by loving him in this way I shall be carrying out your commandment.
O Lord, in order to love you with all my heart, make me try with all my strength to observe your commandment, since anyone who does not love his neighbor is really despising your commandment, and anyone who despises your commandment, despises you, its author.
