Live 4 The LORD

14  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.”

16  For God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17  For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. 18 He who believes in him is not condemned; he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God. 19  And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21  But he who does what is true comes to the light, that it may be clearly seen that his deeds have been wrought in God.  (John 3:14–21, RSV2CE

REFLECTION

Moses lifted the serpent in the wilderness for sinners to look at and be healed of the disease. They had to believe in the remedy to look at it and be healed. (Belief is the key)

Jesus is lifted up on the Cross for sinners to believe in and be healed of their sin. I have to believe in the remedy for healing to take place. (Belief is the key)

God loves my soul so much that He sent Jesus as the remedy for my estrangement. If I believe in Jesus as the remedy I can be saved from sin and live with God eternally. 

God sent Jesus not to condemn but to convict me of my sin so I could wake up and believe. I am to live through Jesus. (In, With, & Through Jesus is the remedy for me if I Believe!) If I believe in Jesus I am not condemned. 

People come into the world condemned already because they do not believe in Jesus. We must tell of Jesus the remedy so all can be saved. 

Light has come into the world to tell us what truth is so we can turn and be saved. 

Men love the darkness because they don’t want to be exposed to light and convicted. They do evil because it seems natural to them and want to continue in it and do not want healing. 

Those who are convicted and want the healing remedy come into the light for deliverance. 

PRAYER

Thank you God for loving my soul. Thank you God, for offering me a healing remedy so I do not have to do evil or love it anymore. I believe Jesus is my remedy! I do not want to be in darkness and do evil anymore. I need conviction and light. I want to be yours for eternity! Help me Jesus live in with and through you all the way home into forever!!

Amen.  

Help me tell others of your wonderful love and the remedy for our sin so they too can be delivered from death. May we all come to your saving knowledge for eternity.
