READ

28  “You are those who have continued with me in my trials; 29  as my Father appointed a kingdom for me, so do I appoint for you 30  that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom (Luke 22:28–30, RSV2CE)

REFLECT

I am to continue with Jesus in His trials. His trials continue today through his people. We too are going through the persecution when we stand up for the truth. The kingdom is appointed to Jesus from the Father and He is appointing me to be in the kingdom also.

Am I willing to go through the trials that lead to it? The kingdom is only gained by going through the trials.

PRAY

Jesus, I want to be with you. Help me go through my trials for your name’s sake. Make me successful by your grace, no one can thwart you. I want to live forever with you in your kingdom.
