Live 4 The LORD

​God Chose A Hierarchy for His Church-Judas does not negate His Choice and Way. 

Jesus Chose The Catholic Church as His Apostles to His Disciples. 

If I am not under the Apostles, I might be under a Demon trying to separate me from Jesus.

12  In these days he went out to the hills to pray; and all night he continued in prayer to God. 13 And when it was day, he called his disciples, and chose from them twelve, whom he named apostles; 14 Simon, whom he named Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip, and Bartholomew, 15 and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot, 16 and Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.  (Luke 6:12–16, RSV2CE)

REFLECTION

Before an important choice, Jesus was in prayer all night. How much more should I be in prayer before my important decisions. 

Jesus called all His disciples together. He chose 12 out of the group of disciples to be made apostles. He has a hierarchy. 12 represents the 12 tribes of old and now the 12 tribes of the new church. 

I am called to be His disciple but the Catholic Church is the lineage of the Apostles office. I am to submit to those Apostles Jesus has put over His disciples. 

Judas was called not only as a Disciple but also as an Apostle. All men have a choice to love God and accept or reject His grace. God does not coerce or control, he offers. I do not leave the Apostles teaching just because there is a Judas among them. I am to see the Judas and keep following the Apostles that are true, not leave the Apostles and start my own church. 

RESOLUTION

I have a choice. I can follow your Apostles you have chosen or I can follow the wrong path. I choose You my God! You are the one who chose the hierarchy of Your church. If I place myself under someone else, that is a demon. Demons are trying to separate from the true church by pointing out all the Judas’. Just because there is a Judas does not negate your choice. I will surrender myself to You my God in the way you have structured your church. Just because there is a Judas is not surprising, after all you had one yourself in your midst. This does not detract from all your teaching and all the ones who are faithful. 

REST

Thank you God for your promise hell will not prevail over your church. I submit myself to You and Your ways. I believe you are in your church. Help me not be scandalized by the Judas’. They will not stand. I will rest in your Perfect Ways.  The test of faith is to submission and trust that You know all and best. I love you my God. Amen.
