Live 4 The LORD

4 You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace. 5 For through the Spirit, by faith, we wait for the hope of righteousness. 6  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any avail, but faith working through love. 7 You were running well; who hindered you from obeying the truth? (Galatians 5:4–7, RSV2CE)

REFLECTION

Justification by legalism makes me fall away from grace living through the Spirit by Faith. 

I am to live through the Holy Spirit. 

I am to live by Faith. 

I am to hope for being made righteous when I get to heaven. 

Circumcision is nothing. 

Being in Christ by faith loving God and others is what counts. 

I am to obey truth which is new life of grace through the Spirit by Faith working through love in Christ hoping for righteousness. 

[Faith: A free submission of my intellect and will to God, Entrusting my whole self entirely to Him, And assenting to all he has revealed, Because God is truth itself.]

RESOLUTION 

Jesus I choose to obey your truth. I choose to forsake legalism and live this new life by Grace through the Holy Spirit you have given me. Come Holy Spirit! I submit my entire self, intellect, will, and body to you because you love me and know best for me. I will to love you and others for your sake. I will put my hope in you that you will complete righteousness in me when I get to heaven. Keep me in you Jesus Christ my Lord!

REST

Thank you my God for Grace and Faith. Thank you for love and hope. Thank you  for the Holy Spirit who was sent to help me. I will trust in you! I love you my God. Amen.
