Father Gregory,
I’m so Sorry to bug you but you are the only one I know (by reputation-I’ve never met you) that may understand what I mean. Is it fair to say
1. The Understanding of predestination is the reprobate are rejecting God (not determined to hell but not helped either); sufficient grace meaning that if I wanted to buy a car, I was free to look into the process of getting one, and then follow the steps to do so. But people have original sin and therefore do not want to look into it. (Like the Reformed)
A. There are a certain number
B. They are known before merit (God chose and by his grace not based on what we would do with Grace)
C. If truly born again we will be His forever. Either we will walk all the way in grace or if we fall, he will discipline until we come in line. (Jonah)
D. You said once that if we are determined to heaven it will be so, if we are determined to hell it will be so (in God’s mind-not our info)
E. We are all on the trajectory to hell due to original sin (we are in Adam’s decision-but God sets some arrows towards heaven)
The reason I ask is because every single day I have a meltdown hoping I’m saved. I can’t save myself. I can’t even hold on to him myself. I need him to hold me close. I need him to breathe.
Everyone makes it so complicated so I wanted an easy way to understand and just say if God wants me I’m here to do his will and if he doesn’t that’s his choice. I cannot freak out every single day. I’m so tired.
Thank you for Any guidance you can give.
Julie
