My Lectio Divina: on Revelation 2

The Word from God to Ephesus:

I know your works

I know your toil

I know your patient endurance

I know how you cannot bear with those who are evil

I know you have tested those apostles that are found to be false

I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my namesake

You have not grown weary

You hate the works of the Nicolaitians which I also hate

{God wrote this to me! God sees all your good deeds. He sees that your heart is with his heart. He knows all your works, your enduring, you hate evil and discern false brothers. He knows you are patiently enduring and bearing up for HIS NAME! You are not weary you let him strengthen you. 

Thank you Jesus for helping me discern truth from error. Thank you for helping me endure this pain being with evil. I want to walk Here in Your Name. Help me glorify you.}

You have abandoned the love you had

You have fallen

Repent

Do the works you did at first

{Though you do good works and endure for the Name, your love is gone. Father, please help me. I used to be in love with you. I used to want to spend all my time with you. I was willing to do anything for you. Now I do things so you will have glory but not because of love. Help me know your love for me again. Sweep me off my feet again. I have fallen. I must repent if doing things for the wrong reason. That is legalism and pharisees. Help me fall in love again by knowing your love for me. Help me do what I did in the beginning of our relationship. All for love!! Thank you for your love!!! Amen}

He who has an ear, let him hear with the spirit says

To the one who conquers I will grant to eat the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God

{Those that have the Spirit LISTEN! If you ask the Spirit to lead you, you will conquer! If you conquer you will eat the tree of life and be with him forever in paradise. Help me Almighty God to conquer in your Spirit!! I can do nothing without you. With you I can do all things!! Thank you Jesus. I believe. Help me!}

The word of God to Smyrna:

I know your tribulation and poverty, but you are rich

I know those who say they are Jews and are not. They are a synagogue of Satan.

Do not fear suffering

The devil will test you

You will have tribulation

Be faithful unto death, you will get the crown of life

To the one who has an ear, let him hear what the spirit says

The one who conquers will not be hurt by the second death

{God knows your pain and suffering. Help knows that you don’t have much physically but you are rich in faith! God knows those who say they are believers but are NOT. They are in with the devil. They are in your churches wreaking havoc. Do not fear to suffer for my name. The devil is testing you. You will have trials! But don’t give in. Be faithful to me even if you have to die for the faith and truth! I allow the devil to try you. Your faith is precious and it must be tried. If you are faithful you will get the crown of life. If I walk in the Spirit and Listen,  can conquer. If I conquer then death will not harm me. It will bring me Glory!  Thank you Jesus for telling me the truth. People are pretenders. I must try the Spirits and follow Your Spirit!! Thank you for helping me discern. Thank you for your Spirit! Help me God conquer in with and through you!! Amen}
