Hebrews
Every High Priest
chosen from among men
is appointed to act on behalf of men in relation to God
to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins.

Jesus is The High Priest Forever
Not on bodily descent by legal requirement, but by the power of indestructible life.
Better hope than the law which made nothing perfect.
God made Jesus priest by an oath, he swore and will not change his mind.
Jesus guaranteed a better covenant because the other priests died but Jesus lives forever so his priesthood is permanent.
~~~
His priesthood is permanent because he continues forever.
He is able to save to the utter most those who drawn near to God through him since he always lives to make intercession for them.
It is fitting that we should have a high priest that is holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, exalted above the heavens! (PERFECTION-not weak like us)
The old priesthood was weak because even the priests had to make sacrifices for their sins and were appointed by the law in their weakness.
Now the word of an oath which supersedes the law appoints Jesus, the son, who has been made perfect forever, to be the high priest forever.
Jesus himself says the Mass (the priest is his visible stand in representative)
The Mass is Jesus the Son, ministering to the Father (praise, honor, glory, and worship) we are considered in Jesus - his body)
The Mass is offering gifts and sacrifices for men to God. (The High Priest’s job)
The Mass is Jesus offering us as gifts, and Himself as the Sacrifice for sins, so God can accept us (the whole body of Christ cleansed)
