Yahweh is the personal name of God, distinct from other titles like "Lord" (Adonai) or "God" (Elohim).

In English Bibles, Yahweh is often translated as "LORD" (all caps) to distinguish it from "Lord" (Adonai)

The name Yahweh is formed from the Hebrew verb "hayah" (הָיָה), which means "to be," "to become," or "to exist".

Often interpreted as meaning “He causes to be.”

The name signifies God's self-revelation to Moses in Exodus 3:14, where God says "I AM WHO I AM".

The name Yahweh is central to the Hebrew Bible and is associated with God's covenant relationship with Israel, His character, and His actions.
