31 Now is the judgment of this world, now shall the ruler of this world be cast out; 32 And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself.” (John 12:31–32, RSV2CE)
35 Jesus said to them, “The light is with you for a little longer. Walk while you have the light, lest the darkness overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes. 36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.” (John 12:35–36, RSV2CE)
REFLECT
Judgement of the world is now. God is righteous and demands righteousness.
The ruler of the world is cast out. The devil, who rules the world is cast out of those who want to belong to God and righteousness.
Jesus’ crucifixion draws men to himself. Jesus offers salvation through his cross. He takes our sin debt, we get his righteous life. The Spirit helps us walk it out in His strength not ours. We accept that walking through the world of sin is painful but we will have a reward if we do not give up and let him keep transforming us.
The light is here, walk in the light, believe in the light so you can become sons of light. The Spirit makes us sons of God and will walk us all the way home.
Or the darkness will overtake you. Those who do not want righteousness or who do not want to love God will be overcome by the darkness.
If you are walking in darkness you don’t know where you are going. Sadly because the darkness is so bad, people do not even k is they are in darkness and therefore do not know they are on the way to hell.
PRAY
God, I want to love you. I want to be made righteous. I know it is not in me. You have to place it in me and help me walk it out everyday. I ask for the light! I ask to be your daughter. I know Jesus paid the debt of my sin and offers me his life. I must submit to the Spirit and be willing to suffer the pain of walking through the evil world knowing you reward after this life. I do not want to walk in darkness anymore. I was unaware I was on my way to hell. Thank you for offering me yourself. Please help my family friends and all the world see your light! Jesus draw everyone to you right now! Thank you for coming and paying the price so we can be saved!! Amen!
