There is a Kingdom of God

Baptized with the Holy Spirit

Receive Power and be witnesses

We don’t get the plan we just walk in power and witness about Jesus

God knows the hearts of all men and chooses vocations

Jesus is at the right hand of God. Jesus received from the Father, the promise of the Holy Spirit. Jesus pours the Holy Spirit out on us. (If Jesus was willing to do the cross, the Father promised the Holy Spirit to be available to men if Jesus wanted to give it?)

What do I do??

Receive the Word (God calls through the Word & Spirit)

Repent (I am not king of my life, Jesus is King of real Kingdom-I choose Him back to be my King)

Be baptized in the name of God

Receive forgiveness of sin (He paid all my sin, I get His righteousness-wash daily in the blood)

Receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (power to be witness-becoming Christlike)

The Lord God calls to himself (God chose me)

Hold steadfastly to Apostles teaching (know the teachings-the Word of God)

Fellowship (be with and talk with other believers, this keeps you strong)

Eucharist (Food of pure Grace, renewal meal of Covenant of Blood)

Pray (stay in connection with God all the time-imagine being in throne room alone with God)

To them he presented himself alive after his passion by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days, and speaking of the kingdom of God. (Acts 1:3, RSV2CE)

for John baptized with water, but before many days you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 1:5, RSV2CE)

7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:7–8, RSV2CE)

And they prayed and said, “Lord, you know the hearts of all men, show which one of these two you have chosen (Acts 1:24, RSV2CE)

32 This Jesus God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses. 33 Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this which you see and hear. (Acts 2:32–33, RSV2CE)

37 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brethren, what shall we do?” 38 And Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children and to all that are far off, every one whom the Lord our God calls to him.” 40 And he testified with many other words and exhorted them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation.” 41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls. 42 And they held steadfastly to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers. (Acts 2:37–42, RSV2CE)
