33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You will seek me; and as I said to the Jews so now I say to you, ‘Where I am going you cannot come.’ 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:33–35, RSV2CE)
“Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me. (John 14:1, RSV2CE)
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also; henceforth you know him and have seen him.” (John 14:6–7, RSV2CE)
13 Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son; 14 if you ask anything in my name, I will do it. (John 14:13–14, RSV2CE)
REFLECT
I am a daughter of Jesus. I am a disciple.
Jesus gives me a new commandment. Love one another; as Jesus has loved me, (took on my debt and sacrificed himself so I could have renewed life-help and serve others so they can renew their life). By this type of love all men will know that I am His disciple!
I am commanded to not let my heart be troubled.
I am commanded to believe in God and Jesus.
Knowing Jesus is knowing the Father! Seeing Jesus is seeing the Father.
To get to the Father, the Only way is through Jesus. Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life to the Father! If I follow Him on the Way, I will make it home. If I believe Him, for He is Truth and cannot lie, I will make it home. If I let His Spirit live in me, I will have abundant spiritual life even though plagued by grief here in the midst of sin.
If I ask anything in Jesus’ name Jesus will do it that the Father is glorified in the Son. Asking in Jesus’ name proves he is the son so when He does something is shows the glory of the Father which He gives through the Son.
PRAY
Jesus, thank you for calling me to you. Thank you for recreating me as your daughter and to serve as your disciple.
You said anything I ask in your name you will do so the Father will be glorified. I ask for a filling of the Holy Spirit everyday so that I can love and serve others! Thank you for loving me and paying my sin debt. Thank you for making me new.
I am commanded to not let my heart be troubled and to believe in You and The Father, I BELIEVE, help me when I fall into unbelief! It is a battle.
I pray to know you Jesus. Not know about you or how you work, but to actually know you experientially. I am starving for you. In your name I pray you make yourself known to me more and more.
In your name I ask for the Holy Spirt to guide me in The Way, The Truth, and The Life! I know that bearing with others sin is so hard and one of the biggest way to serve you! Not letting my heart get bitter, but to intercede and serve them!
In your name I ask for these graces, I pray for You and The Father to be glorified! I Love You God. Amen!
