Christ died for us and we are expected to be willing to die for him.
How many of us would be willing to be tortured for Christ when we find it burdensome to fast, stand up in Church or come to Church on time?
This is how one becomes a Christian: By proclaiming faith in Christ at our baptism.
Prior to the baptism the candidate faced West and renounced the devil three times. Then the candidate for baptism faces East and is asked three times by the priest whether he or she accepts Christ and they conclude by saying "I believe in Him as King and as God."
Renounce Satan!
And BELIEVE in
Lord Jesus Christ our God and King
