1 In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets; 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the ages. 3 He reflects the glory of God and bears the very stamp of his nature, upholding the universe by his word of power. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, (Hebrews 1:1–3, RSV2CE)
REFLECT
God spoke many ways in the past. Now the last way has come. He gave us Jesus. Everything was created through Jesus and He is the Heir of all things that were made, everything belongs to Him. Jesus is the exact nature of God, He is the Glory of God, and He upholds all things by His own Word and Power! He came himself and made purification of sin (the blood of His Cross). Now He sits at the right Hand of the Father in heaven.
PRAY
Jesus you are God, you came yourself the give the covering that can put us in your presence again. You created all things and everything belongs to you. You are orchestrating and upholding everything in being. Help me hide myself in you. Help me forsake sin and stay covered in your blood that shields me from wrath. Blood is life and if I am covered in your blood, walking in fellowship of Grace I can combat my sin. Thank you for coming and giving us grace to live with you. Thank you for offering yourself for me. Help me be what you made me to be. Amen.
