17 Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, 18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.
19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. (Hebrews 6:17–20, NKJV)
24 But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. 25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. (Hebrews 7:24–25, NKJV)
REFLECT
God is determined to show the heirs of the promise His unchanging decision, because God does not and cannot lie, we can have consolation of assurance and firm hope, who take refuge in God. This hope is an anchor in your soul! This hope is Jesus Christ who is in His Presence behind the veil High Priest Forever! Because He is High Priest Forever he will save all the way those who come to the Father through Him since He is forever making intercession.
PRAY
God is Truth, He wants me to have assurance and consolation and a firm hope in Jesus. He has done it all! I must take refuge in Him because He is my anchor and High Priest Forever. He will make intercession for me all the way home. Jesus, help me to continue to take refuge in you and what you have done. Help me follow you all the way home. Amen.
