Live 4 The LORD

READ

1 Have mercy upon me, O God,

According to Your lovingkindness;

According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,

Blot out my transgressions.

2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,

And cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I acknowledge my transgressions,

And my sin is always before me.

4 Against You, You only, have I sinned,

And done this evil in Your sight—

That You may be found just when You speak,

And blameless when You judge. (Psalm 51:1–4, NKJV)

Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,

And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom. (Psalm 51:6, NKJV)

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,

And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

11 Do not cast me away from Your presence,

And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,

And uphold me by Your generous Spirit. (Psalm 51:10–12, NKJV)

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,

A broken and a contrite heart—

These, O God, You will not despise. (Psalm 51:17, NKJV)

REFLECT 

Plead for Mercy, Love, Cleansing, Blotting out of sin, acknowledging I have done evil against God. You desire me to see the truth of myself inside. You reveal my hidden motives so I can be cleansed of them and wisdom to change. God has to create a new heart within me that is clean, I do not have that power, I am to pray for it. Pray also for a steadfast Spirit that holds on to and obeys His loving commands that heal my soul. Pray to live in His presence all day everyday. Pray for the Holy Spirit never to leave and to guide my every moment. Restore to me the joy of Salvation-union with God my Father, Savior, and Spirit. The sacrifices that are acceptable to you God are a broken and contrite heart searching to stay close and be led by You!

PRAY

God, I am a sinner full of evil motives that need your cleansing and renewal. I admit my brokenness and pleas for your mercy, love, and cleansing. I want to live in your presence guided by your spirit washed in the blood. Help me live be and obey your commands that are healing to my soul not burdensome. I give my heart to you. I love you. Amen.
