Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
Fruit of the Holy Spirit
Love of God and all God loves, and to hate all God hates.
Joy is to have what you long for. Since I long for God and I am in God, I have joy no matter what my external circumstances are.
Peace, i have peace in my soul because I have God in me and I am safe in Him. He is directing my life and gives me grace for everything that happens to me.
Patience, I can allow others to be who they are and have patience with them because God had patience with my stubborn ignorance.
Kindness, I can have kindness to others because the kindness of God leads to repentance. Have kindness toward others so they can see the compassion of God. The world is a rough place, all need kindness.
Goodness, God is good to me, I must share my goodness with others. I am a channel not to be a reservoir.
Faithfulness, I am a child of the most High, I should do what I say and say what I do. Be a truthful and dependable person.
Gentleness, I am to keep in check my anger and express my words carefully in love. Gentleness gains more than rages. People listen to gentle words more than temper fits.
Self-Control, the Spirit has broken the power of sin. I can have self control over my thoughts, desires, and will. To control my desires I have to keep watch over my thoughts. Then I can choose with my will the correct action.
