Live 4 The LORD

Psalm 40:4

How blessed is the man who has made the LORD his trust,

And has not turned to the proud, nor to those who become involved in falsehood.

{I am blessed because I have decided myself to Trust the Lord for all things. He will not disappoint me. I may not understand his answers or his ways but they are working for the best of all. I choose to Trust the Lord because He knows all things and can make good even from horrific evil. He is good. 

I refuse to look to man. Man is proud and think they know things but we are only a breath. And we can’t even take care of ourselves much less each other. I will not turn to the proud who only talk. And I will not get involved in falsehood, it is evil. 

Help me Jesus keep seeking you. Help me when I don’t understand and start to blame you for our evil. You do not do evil! You allow it and it scandalizes my mind sometimes. Help me remember your plan is perfect and absorbs even evil into the good. Amen}

Psalm 40:7-8

Then I said, “Behold, I have come;

It is written of me in the scroll of the book.

I delight to do Your will, my God;

Your Law is within my heart.”

{All my days are ordained by you, the scroll was written before the earth was created. I am here so that I can learn to love and serve you. You are Holy Righteous and Good. You want me to allow you to eradicate the evil tendencies within. You have changed my broken heart into your daughter! Please help me delight more and more into wanting to do your will. Open my heart to love your law more and more. This is salvation! Knowing, loving, and obeying your ways. It is discipline in righteousness for freedom of sin. Thank you for this wonderful gift. Help me Lord! Amen}

Psalm 40:11

You, LORD, will not withhold Your compassion from me;

Your mercy and Your truth will continually watch over me.

{You Lord know how weak I am. You see my vulnerability and where I get attacked. Please do not withhold compassion. You are the only one that understands me and why I think and do what I think and do. Save me!! Your Mercy is Infinite! Have mercy on my broken soul! Heal my broken soul more and more. Fill me with your truth that saves and breaks the chains of the liar! Watch over me my God! Amen}

Psalm 40:12-13

For evils beyond number have surrounded me;

My guilty deeds have overtaken me, so that I am not able to see;

They are more numerous than the hairs of my head,

And my heart has failed me.

Be pleased, LORD, to rescue me;

Hurry, LORD, to help me.

{You see I live in a place surrounded by evil. It is everywhere and so subtle it seems  innocuous. Sometimes I get pulled into it. My guilt is before me. I start to become blind and unable to see the harm to my soul. My heart is sad and failing because I get trapped in sin. Be pleased my Savior God to rescue me! Hurry Jesus! Help me get untangled and escape the corruption in the world. I want to be yours and live by your laws. Only you can deliver! Amen}

Psalm 40:16-17

May all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;

May those who love Your salvation continually say,

“The LORD be exalted!”

But I am afflicted and needy;

May the Lord be mindful of me.

You are my help and my savior;

Do not delay, my God.

{My King, help me seek you. Draw me to you. I will rejoice in You! I love your salvation! BE EXALTED MY GOD! I am sorely needy! I am afflicted all day long by wrong thinking. Please God be mindful of my wretchedness. You are my only hope, help, and salvation!! Do not delay, hurry my Jesus! I need your cleansing deliverance from my own thoughts! Amen}
