God will defend you.
You will become like water that flows down through the cracks and escapes notice. As you humble yourself in the Lord’s presence, you admit you are powerless over these attacking thoughts and desires, you realize your life has become unmanageable, and you see your need for Christ’s saving grace.
The closer you bow to the earth, the more you know your own frailty and God’s love. Without God’s breath of life in your nostrils, you are dust. This is the way of humility, to bow down to the dust.
Jesus loves to come down to all who truly humble themselves, to lift you up, breathe into your soul the breath of life, and mightily defend you in the presence of your enemies.
With great love God will come to you, to rescue you from your tormentors, as a father rescuing his child from an attack. The Lord will gather you in his arms and wipe away the tears from your eyes. Christ cherishes your life.
