Live 4 The LORD

Mark 8:15

And he cautioned them, saying, “Watch out; beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.”

Mark 8:17-21

And Jesus, aware of this, said to them, “Why are you discussing the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive or understand? Are your hearts hardened? Having eyes do you not see, and having ears do you not hear? And do you not remember? When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?” They said to him, “Twelve.” “And the seven for the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?” And they said to him, “Seven.” And he said to them, “Do you not yet understand?”

{Jesus asks you:

Why are you discussing physical bread? Jesus means spiritual leaven from the hypocritical leaders. Beware of their hypocrisy and don’t follow that. Cleaning the outside but leaving the inside rotten. We are to follow Jesus with our heart not just obey legal rules. 

Do you not yet perceive or understand spiritual things? Do you not see that Jesus is God? And He is preaching there is a kingdom that has come. It is a change of heart to love God and others. Jesus is showing compassion and mercy and meeting peoples needs to show God’s heart. 

Is your heart hard to where you are rejecting truth? Is your heart hard so all you see is external. You want people to change external behavior but the inside is still corrupt. It will bleed out. We must allow our heart to be changed. 

Having eyes do you not see the spiritual truths being manifested. See the miracles. See the compassion. See the love manifested to the people by telling of the truth that saves the soul. Jesus provided for the people’s needs and even had an abundance left over! No lack!

Having ears do you not hear the truth that saves and dispels fear. Hear the message of the kingdom. God loves you, cares for you, wants to give you a new heart to love the laws that save the soul, wants to give you a heart of compassion to help others see the kingdom so they will want saving truths. Because he is all powerful he can provide for all needs, there is nothing to fear except not coming to Him. 

And do you not remember the miracles done? Are you forgetting all the manifestations already shown that prove this reality?

Do you not yet understand? He is the Christ and we are to follow him and beware of those that say they are but are Not!}
