John 6:33-40
For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.”
And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe. All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”
REFLECT
The bread of God (food to live) is JESUS (Word and Eucharist) who comes down from heaven (born as a human) and gives life (Spirit and natural) to the world. (Spirit to those who receive and natural to all).
Jesus is the bread of life. (Food - Word and Eucharist) I must have bread to live. My food is the word of God and the Eucharist (body and blood of the risen Christ)
If I come to Jesus I will never hunger or thirst. I have to believe him. I must keep going to Jesus all day long every single day. I am to live in with and through him! He keeps me alive.
All that the Father gives Jesus will come to Christ.
I have been chosen by God and awakened by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was sent by God to open my heart to the offer of living with God in an intimate communion forever.
The Holy Spirit told me I was not understanding that the world and my flesh is sick. It wants things that harm instead of true life. God made the world and humanity to work a certain way to flourish and it got broken. But He offers healing and power to obey and flourish as originally intended.
I accepted and received by the Merit of Jesus’ passion, death, and resurrection an atonement for all my sin. I have been reconciled with God (Father, Son, and Spirit). The Holy Spirit was given to me at my adult baptism 5/20/1999. I was Born Again and Justified in my baptism.
Now I am to walk out my salvation by sanctification. By the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I am dying to sin and given power to be free of sin’s enslavement and granted obedience to the divine will. The Holy Spirit healed and established cooperation between His Grace and my freedom. I can now freely choose to obey Him with His Grace. This Grace works by the power of MERCY. The Holy Spirit poured into my heart justification, faith, hope and love. I am now a part of Jesus’ body. I am in Jesus no longer on my own I am attached to Him.
Now that I am attached to Jesus he will never throw me out. Jesus came down to do the Father’s will and His will was that I be chosen to be grafted into His son. All the Father gives to Jesus, He will lose NONE and will be raised up on the last day. I will be raised! I have seen Jesus and believe in Him! I have everlasting life (living with God in an intimate communion forever!)
PRAY
My Amazing God, I am speechless at your mercy and grace for a little soul like me. Please help me Glorify Your Amazing Love! Thank you for choosing me to be yours. I Love You! Amen.
