Romans 8:1-11
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
REFLECT
Those in Christ are indwelt by the Spirit, keep their mind on the Spirit, walk by the power and obedience of the Spirit, fulfill the law, have life and peace, and are not condemned.
There is no condemnation for those who walk in the Spirit.
the righteous requirement of the law is fulfilled in us who walk according to the Spirit.

Carnal Christian is no such thing! They are dead!
If you set your mind on the flesh, you are in death. Flesh thinking is at enmity with God. Flesh thinking is not subject to law and it cannot be because it rebelled and rejects it. You cannot please God if you are thinking in the flesh. If you do not have the Spirit, you do not belong to Christ.
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh.
To be carnally minded is death.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.
So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.
PROOFS:
How does one know they have the Spirit? A humility that recognises dependence on God’s grace. They want to please God. They want to be holy as He is holy. They want to be with God. They hate sin and want to eradicate it from their life, they do not want to practice it anymore. They are willing to do anything to get rid of wrong thoughts to get rid of sin. They want to think on the things of God not the world.
Presence of the fruits of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control are the first‑hand evidence of the Spirit’s action. When a person’s prayer, conscience, and daily conduct display these fruits, the Spirit is at work.
PRAY
Father, I want to please you. I want to belong to you. I want to be in Christ. I want the Holy Spirit to change me from a carnal man to a spiritual man. Holy Spirit, please come dwell in me, Jesus please cover me, Father please help me so I can please you. I want to be remade for your glory. Help me keep my mind on You God and not the world or my old carnal ways. Help me walk with my mind on you in your power and obedience so I can fulfill the law that brings life and peace and never condemnation.
By the proofs I see I am very weak. Father, please be pleased to help me. You said when I am weak, then I am strong. I ask for your strength to fill me. I need to be remade. Thank you for hearing my prayer. I know you are merciful to sinners and I believe you will do it.
Amen!
