2 Thessalonians 2:13b
brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.
REFLECT
I am beloved by the Lord.
From the beginning God chose me for salvation.
Salvation is by sanctification from the Holy Spirit.
I must submit to the Holy Spirit.
I must believe Truth.
The Father loves me and calls me beloved. Jesus died in my place his blood washes away my sin. The Holy Spirit recreates me into Christlikeness, if I submit, by sanctifying me. This is so I can be Holy and stand in the Triune God’s presence which is my highest Joy and Peace.
PRAY
Father, this love is so amazing it is difficult to believe. Help my unbelief! How could you love me this much? You love me so much you came here and lived the perfect life and died a horrible death so my humanity could be with you forever. You even want to live inside me so I can be sure to make it home. My only part is to submit to your guidance and believe. Help me please submit! Help me please believe! It is so hard to hear and know what you are asking. I do a lot in my own strength. I am shriveling away because I have been cut off from the vine. Please be pleased to graft me on again. I am humbly completely dependent on your Spirit and Grace. Forgive my rebellion and save me! I repent of my way! Help me choose your way! In the Name of Jesus Christ my Lord and God I pray!! Amen.
