John 5:28-29
Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.
REFLECT
Do not be surprised! There is an hour coming! After we die there will be resurrection! For ALL people. When we hear The King of the Universe’s voice, ALL WILL BE RESURRECTED! ALL will come forth! The question is what kind of resurrection. Those who do good get resurrection of life. Those who do evil resurrection of condemnation.
PRAY
Father, since there is nothing good in me, I must surrender myself to you. We are all wicked. Only by grace that you are constantly pouring out on us do we sometimes do right. Please help me see that I need to surrender even more and stop trying to control. The more I try to control the more I fall. Acceptance of what you want me to go through is how I learn self discipline and virtue. Surrendering to your guidance and power will help me do good instead of evil. I want resurrection of life not condemnation. Help me! Thank you for offering this amazing gift of yourself to live inside me so that I can do good and live with you forever. Amen.
