Jesus did not die only for his close friends and family, but for all people in all times, without any favoritism or partiality shown to one person over another.
While we had our backs turned away from God, Christ died for us.
Everyone who turns away from sin and asks for God’s mercy will be forgiven through the grace of God given at the cross.
